These are original hand-cut stencil
serigraphs. They are "multiple original" or "original print"
and not a reproduction. Katherine cut a stencil out of paper
or plastic, adhered it to a silk screen and printed ink
through the hole in the stencil, one stencil for each color.
Thus, each image may have six to ten stencils or colors
printed one upon the other to create the final image. Like
an etching, there is no single original from which these
prints are reproduced. All are limited and hand signed.
